People and Culture Partner

The People & Culture Partner reports directly to the Chief People Officer, playing a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the organisation's People activities. With a focus on fostering a positive work environment, the People & Culture Partner collaborates with various departments to provide day to day support for all areas of People Operations including on/offboarding, employee relations, employment law, pay and benefits and policy management.

The People & Culture Partner influences the organisation's performance, continuously optimizing key People processes and policies, training managers on how to use them, suggesting technology improvements and therefore contributing to efficient operations, employee satisfaction, and overall business performance.

Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver strategic People & Culture initiatives, effectively address employee needs, whilst maintaining a kind, inclusive and agile workplace in a sustainable and quickly growing business.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

Rovco is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:

Employee Engagement and Relations

  • Be 1st point of contact, own and triage all People related queries. Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on company ways of working, HR policies, procedures, and grievance/issue resolution.
  • Own end to end employee relations cases ensuring correct processes are followed and outcomes communicated. Be the investigating officer where appropriate.
  • Mediate in employee disputes and conflicts, working towards fair and amicable resolutions.

Employee Lifecycle:

  • Owns the on and off boarding process, ensuring a seamless employee and contractor experience that is clear, robust and maintains integrity of compliance-based requirements.
  • Main point of contact for third party EoR and PEO partners, proactively resolving issues.

Culture:

  • Drive the company’s D&I strategy/objectives, championing initiatives to attract & retain diverse talent and create a workplace where people bring their whole selves to work.
  • Create a positive work culture through initiatives that promote the company values, enhancing employee morale and engagement.
  • Creates and drives specific projects/activities in line with our engagement survey results

Performance Management:

  • Work with line mangers to help manage the probation process and coach on performance management
  • Drive the Talking Performance Framework processes by guiding managers on setting objectives, conducting Performance Check-ins and the 6 monthly Big Picture Conversations. Drive improvements to this process and the use of the data it provides.
  • Support both managers and employees in navigating performance challenges by addressing issues and implementing targeted performance improvement plans, escalating according to company policy as appropriate

Compliance and Policies

  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure the organisation's HR practices are in line with legal requirements and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, communicating changes and updates to the workforce and ensuring these are stored according to document management processes.
  • Own the employee Handbook ensuring accurate, up-to-date information is maintained at all times.

Talent Management

  • Provide opportunities for employees to grow within the company through organising mentorship, leadership development, and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Identify and prepare high-potential employees for future leadership roles through talent mapping.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with managers to create tailored development plans.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Responsible for ensuring HR records and databases are accurate, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Generate regular HR reports and metrics for management review and decision-making, including ensuring monthly payroll is correct.
  • Generate regular reports and provide insights to management, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience); CIPD Level 5+ is desirable. 
  • Strong experience as a generalist People/HR role or People Partner (or equivalent), in a fast-growing, forward-thinking business with satellite offices in Europe or the USA. Preferably in either a tech or renewable energy business.
  • Demonstrated ability in partnering with stakeholders across the business providing accurate, timely advice & support on people-related issues
  • A dynamic interpersonal style capable of demonstrating empathy and an ability to relate to diverse individuals
  • Very organized with a high attention to detail to effectively and accurately keep track of multiple tasks, priorities and queries
  • Sound working knowledge of employment law, regulations and best practice
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to resolve a diverse range of HR issues.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
