Content Manager

£28-32k per annum

Role Overview:

As a Content Manager at Pretty Pragmatic, you’ll work with the agency team to create great-performing websites & content, resulting in outstanding outcomes for clients who really appreciate what we do for them.

The main elements of the role will be:

  • Content and SEO strategy – determining priority keywords for clients, new opportunities for their business, and where content is most needed to capture relevant traffic.
  • SEO reviews – using our range of tools to review SEO performance and identify areas where improvements can be made.
  • Content briefing – creating copy briefs and working with copywriters on the creation of blogs, articles and other marketing collateral.
  • Copy enhancements – drafting copy for adaptions to improve existing pages and work collaboratively with copywriters to help make every word as powerful as possible.
  • Website content management – from adapting pages or creating new ones on existing websites through to getting the chance to create the content structure on new websites from scratch.
  • Reporting – showcasing the success we’ve achieved, along with recommendations and analysis to help clients take advantage of new and emerging opportunities.

Who we’re looking for:

We're looking for someone with a couple of years agency or in-house SEO experience. You’ll be familiar with Google Analytics and Search Console, along with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Moz or Screaming Frog, and able to interpret the data to help inform content recommendations and briefs.

Along with that, there’s a few key traits that will make you the perfect fit:

  • A curious character – you’ll be eager to stay on top of how things are going, what could be made better, and be one of the first to know the latest trends.
  • A keen bean – you'll be inquisitive and want to learn new things as you go – we’ve got a wide range of skills in the team and we want you to tap into them.
  • An impact maker – you’ll be eager to know how your work performs and want to use that knowledge to create things that are even more powerful.
  • A devil in the detail – you’ll be comfortable getting stuck into the detail of platforms like Google Analytics and SEMrush, and then be able to talk about it with clients without boggling them.
  • A fun lover – we’re here to enjoy what we do and want you to add to the fun too.

Working at Pretty Pragmatic:

So that’s enough about you, what about us?

  • Give & Take – we’re not a rigid 9-5:30 place. ?We work in real life – if you need to start a bit later or finish early, we can make it work.
  • Make It Happen – if you have a good idea, don’t be afraid to be the one to make it real.?
  • ?Basics, Then Brilliance – we do the basics well.? Then find ways to go beyond.?
  • Strive To Stand Out – we like competition. There’s no shame in wanting to be the best.
  • Win Together, Lose Apart – we help each other whenever we can. It makes a big difference.
  • Pride Over Profit – we stand up for what we believe in, we don’t just bow to a big budget.

Along with this, we offer 25 days holiday and your birthday off – as we all need to enjoy some R&R! You'll also gain an extra day of holiday for each year of tenure at PP, up to an additional 4 days.

We also have an annual £500 training allowance per person for your development to make sure you’re continually progressing, insightful masterclasses to share knowledge across the teams, 'Healthy Habits' wellness allowance, pension, Headspace subscription, a week each year where you can ‘work from anywhere’, monthly 'Players' Player awards, increasing holidays with tenure, and a range of other PP perks.

We’re based in Bristol and looking for someone who will be able to work from our lovely studio space in The Paintworks at least three days a week.

If you’re excited about this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you, email [email protected] with your CV and we'll be in touch.
