Job Requirements/Description

Bristol is the largest city in the Southwest and one of the country’s core cities. It is a vibrant, historic and multi-cultural city and is one of the most popular locations in the UK in which to both live and work.

The Planning Policy team leads the planning policy framework for Bristol, including at neighbourhood, city and strategic levels. We manage the process of receiving millions of pounds of developer contributions from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 Agreements.

We need a motivated and experienced detail-conscious individual to join our team to design, manage and maintain efficient data management systems for development monitoring and developer contributions. You will also be responsible for undertaking complex Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) related tasks including CIL reviews and appeals; enforcement of CIL payments; CIL abatement and CIL relief. We’re aiming to deliver continuous improvements to our land use monitoring and S106 / CIL reporting processes, with the focus on effective use of digital technology.

Why Bristol City Council?

Join us and you’ll receive an excellent rewards package including flexible working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.
