Internal Audit Manager – 9-month Fixed Term Contract

National salary: circa £60,000

London salary: circa £75,000

As an Audit Manager you will work with colleagues to plan and execute audits to provide high quality audit assurance and insights.

Overall responsibilities for the role:

  • Under the guidance of the Financial Risk Audit Director and Senior Audit Managers, work with colleagues to plan and execute audits in line with the audit methodology to provide high quality audit assurance and insights over material financial risks facing Aviva.
  • Communicate and report to stakeholders the assessment of the effectiveness of the framework of controls, root causes and culture.
  • Input to and manage stakeholder relationships at a senior management level within the business.
  • Support the transformation and continual improvement of the Internal Audit function. ?

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Professional qualification (e.g. audit, accountancy, compliance, insurance) or equivalent business experience.
  • Technical skills / experience of working in an insurance company or relevant financial services function, audit/consultancy firm or UK regulator is preferred.
  • Analytical skills / experience of identifying and appraising risks and controls, whether in a first, second- or third-line role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Salary – national: circa £60,000, London: circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
