Social Sciences Teacher

Social sciences teacher - fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent

A secondary school in North Bristol is looking for a social sciences teacher to take on a fixed term contract full time, with the potential to go permanent should the placement work well. This will be teaching a range of subjects within the social sciences at KS3,4 and 5 level. This role is Monday to Friday and term time only.

Since subjects included are health and social care and sociology it is essential that the right teacher is able to teach up to A-level standard. This secondary school have a strong ethos for inclusive education and the team there live and breathe these values. The school is located within the South Gloucestershire county and easily accessible for a teacher that perhaps does not drive and has a bus that goes near the school from the city centre.

What we are looking for;

- QTS with a specialism in the social sciences

- Strong work ethic and able to confidently balance lesson plans, marking and delivering to a varied ability level of students

- Able to work well within the department and has strong communication skills and can work well to the larger department goals

- Good classroom management

- Holds a DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one
