About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior or Associate Building Surveyor to join our team in Bristol. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing expert advice and overseeing all aspects of building surveying. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering high-quality service, and supporting the growth of our Bristol office.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct building surveys, condition assessments, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Manage refurbishment, renovation, and repair projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents.
- Advise clients on the maintenance, repair, and conservation of buildings, including heritage properties.
- Handle contract administration, ensuring adherence to statutory and contractual requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on building defects, repairs, and health and safety matters.
- Engage in client relationship management, including business development and networking to identify new opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior surveyors, contributing to their professional growth and the success of the team.
Key Skills and Qualifications: - MRICS qualified with extensive experience in building surveying.
- Strong technical knowledge of building construction, pathology, and compliance.
- Proven experience in managing projects and delivering client-focused services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with historic and listed buildings is advantageous but not required.
- Proficiency in relevant surveying software and technology.
