Hours: 37 hours per week (job share considered if suitable, dependant on applicants)

The Hope Project

The Hope Project is a male suicide prevention project, supporting men aged 30-64 across BNSSG. We are recruiting an experienced and organised Project Worker to join our small friendly team to work in a collaborative relationship with colleague and other members of staff in Second Step and affiliated organisations. You will have a caseload of clients who are experiencing suicidal ideation or distress as a result of their housing, finances or employment, providing timely emotional and practical support to reduce these feelings.

This role is an exciting opportunity work in the field of suicide prevention and make a real difference to men who are experiencing distress. You will work as part of a dynamic team, who are all committed to making a difference and preventing suicide in this at-risk age group. You will be well supported and offering appropriate training to enable you to fulfil your role.

The Person

We are looking for someone that has experience of supporting those in distress, who can work well both independently, as well as part of a team. You will have excellent organisational skills and be able build and maintain strong relationships with clients. You must have good attention to detail and have a proactive approach to work, and a genuine passion for supporting people experiencing mental health problems
