We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us on this exciting journey.

Reporting into our Management Accountant, the Assistant Management Accountant will assist with the accounting, reporting and analysis of commercial revenues, with primary focus on retail and property. They’ll provide proactive support to our Commercial team by assisting with modelling, reporting and analysis of retail and property revenue.

This role would suit an experienced Assistant Management Accountant with a focus on business partnering and a passion for fostering effective working relationships with non-financial colleagues.

This role is available as hybrid working, with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in the Lulsgate House office (to reflect the needs of the business).

Principal Responsibilities

  • Management, control, analysis, and reporting of all retail & property revenues.
  • Business partnering support to commercial team, supporting with understanding of variances with a deep insight and action-based approach to drive accountability.
  • Responsibility for the detailed analysis of concession revenues for the commercial team.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Production of weekly and monthly retail KPIs with commentary comparing to budget and previous periods.
  • Providing support to FP&A team on budgets and reforecasts for retail & property;
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis and working with the Commercial team to support them with business decisions.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Suggest improvements to departmental processes, procedures and systems to promote greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Completion regular concessionaire audits.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard with close attention to detail.
  • Provide clear verbal and written communication; and support of the sales ledger function for retail/property

Person Specification

Essential skills

  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified or equivalent.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data and explore the reasons for anomalies.
  • Ability to format data and present in the most effective manner.
  • Experience of collating, preparing and reporting management information.
  • IT literate and able to use a range of different accounting and database systems and an Intermediate to Advanced user of Excel.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues and managers.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and prioritise appropriately.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and an active team member.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of using MS Dynamics 365.
  • Experience of using Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Experience of improving finance processes.
