We’re seeking an IT Project Manager to join us here at Bristol Airport.

The IT Project Manager will ensure the successful delivery of Bristol Airports technology projects and solutions. They’ll ensure they deliver these project objectives within timescales, budget, and scope, working in collaboration with key stakeholders and against the Airport’s strategic goals.

About the role

The IT Project Manager will own projects from inception to successful delivery; they’ll form the project team and ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly established with agreed scope and deadlines whilst creating and maintaining the stakeholder plan and implementing any quality control measures. They’ll follow the company project delivery process for project execution, management and reporting; participating in project reviews to ensure continuous improvement activities. Creating, maintaining and regularly reviewing and sharing the project plan with the wider business the IT Project Manager will manage the deliverables with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are successfully delivered to time, cost and quality.

Responsible for tracking project task updates and budgetary spend the IT Project Manager will engage in regular dialogue with the Delivery Team to ensure progress is maintained and any blockers are known. They’ll ensure all projects meet the requirements relating to regulatory and security controls whilst managing the coordination and delegation of overall workflow tasks to ensure a well-structured and professional project environment for all.

Additionally, the role will also include:

Managing all change requests to the project, determining the impact, and ensuring changes to scope, time, cost, quality and escalation of risks and issues adheres to internal governance and decision-making frameworks.

Manage and participate in the following project activities: production of functional and technical specifications; unit and integration testing; Go-Live planning and support; maintenance of project risk and issue logs; coordination with suppliers.

Lead allocated project teams, coaching, developing, empowering and performance, managing them to deliver project aims and objectives.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who has experience in various project management methodologies including waterfall, SCRUM and Agile, and knowledge of Project Server and Team Foundation Server along with the releveant professional qualifications (PRINCE2; APM) or demonstrable expereince following a professional framework.

You’ll have strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively interpret client’s business needs and translate them into business/operational requirements alongside the business analysts. You’ll have end to end experience of delivering on a variety of projects with previous experience in delivering complex IT projects in a fast-paced environment.

A strong commercial focus is essential with evidence of attaining good business knowledge and partnering with stakeholders to deliver business objectives. You’ll have a solid techincial/IT understanding with the ability to suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along processes alongside possible technological solutions. Comprehensive experience of the Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools such as Projector AGILE tools is essential.
