Social Worker - Recruitment, Assessment Training Team

Full Time, Fixed Term until August 2025. 

The Bristol Fostering Service is looking for a qualified Social Worker to join the Recruitment, Assessments and Training Team.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and committed team of professionals, responsible for recruiting and assessing prospective foster carers to care for Bristol children.

You must be a Social Worker registered with Social Work England to apply for this job.

“Having worked in another local authority for 10 years, before joining Bristol over 5 years ago, I would say that the fostering service in Bristol has a very supportive and nurturing culture with robust management support, and opportunities for individual career progression and personal development. In addition to regular individual supervision, you will also be provided with reflective group supervision.

Within your role as an Assessing and Supervising Social Worker, you will be supported to adopt a trauma informed, relational and strengths-based approach to recruiting, training, assessing, and supervising foster carers”. (Senior Social Worker in the Recruitment, Assessments and Training Team).

You will be joining a service where there are specialisms in the recruitment and assessment of foster carers, supervision, support, and training of foster carers and those who lead on Kinship assessments and Special Guardian assessments and support.
