Job Description:

The Senior Line Leader role is designed to oversee and guide packing team towards achieving project and organizational goals with efficiency and coherence. This position involves a strategic blend of mentorship, project management, and operational oversight to ensure that team efforts align with broader company objectives. By fostering a collaborative environment, the Senior Line Leader ensures that each team member is engaged and contributing effectively, while also serving as a liaison between the team and line manager. This role requires a nuanced understanding of both the big-picture goals of the organization and the day-to-day challenges faced by the team, enabling the leader to make informed decisions that drive progress and improvement.


Essential Responsibilities

Senior Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Preparing work according to production schedule and assign workers production line tasks.
  • Evaluating incoming orders and setting up the production line accordingly.
  • Optimizing packing line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
  • Identifying and resolving production line problems in a timely manner.
  • Training and supervising new packing line workers.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that orders are completed on time.
  • Maintaining a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment without being “told”.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Participating in SOP creation and review process.
  • Complete a comprehensive shift report at the end of each shift, record accurately all downtime and inform line manager.
  • Recognize high and low performance, and feedback to the line manager.
  • Support the line manager on continuous improvement activities.
  • Complete weekly stock checks for your department and flag low stock levels to your line manager.
  • Excellent knowledge of D365, ability to complete tasks without supervision.
  • Identify problems which may occur and take appropriate action to resolve the situation, updating managers or other departments as necessary.
  • Ensuring housekeeping (clean as you go) and 5S system is strictly adhered to.
  • Ensuring all team members are trained in all areas of the KR department.
  • Monitoring, controlling, and minimizing waste. Feedback all issues as well as improvements suggestions.
  • Undertaking such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post e.g. Covering supervisor absence.

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Good level and standard of UK/European education or equivalent
  • Clear and confident communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in leading teams preferred
  • Goos PC skills, especially MS Excel
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines
  • A flexible approach and a proactive attitude.
