Mobile Transport Refrigeration Engineer

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mobile Transport Refrigeration Engineer covering the Bristol/ South West area.

This role would suit an experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineer although consideration would be given to experienced Motor Vehicle Technicians looking to get into the Transport Refrigeration Industry.

Reporting into the Regional Business Manager, you will work as part of a team of Mobile Refrigeration Engineers. The focus will be the Maintenance and Repair of ThermoKing Refrigeration equipment used on large distribution vehicles. Our customers are even busier than ever before, so providing high levels of customer care our paramount for the success of our business as well as all of our employees.

The role duties include:

• Installation, servicing and repair of vehicle powered road transport refrigeration units, limiting costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximising revenue generation in all areas.
• Optimise and maintain engineer van stock to maintain and enhance service delivery to MFS customers.
• To liaise with central control and/or the service centre with regard to job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation; cost updates and customer purchase orders.

Qualifications

Desirable - GCSEs in Mathematics and English, F-Gas 2079, electrical and mechanical certificates.

Additional information

UK driving licence. Travel required, van & major tools supplied along with Company Fuel Card, additional payment for overnight stays (for training). You will also be paid door to door i.e. from leaving your home to arriving back home.

Needs to be physically fit to perform required tasks. Participation in additional on call roster, including overtime & premium times paid, working nights and weekends, when required.
