Job Requirements/Description

Kennedys is looking for an Associate in Kennedys' Professional Liability team, based in our Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly regarded and growing UK Professional Liability team which is also located in our London, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast offices.

Team

Kennedys' professional liability team deal with all areas of professional liability and handle claims of all sizes and complexity, including for Insurers who underwrite some of the world's largest financial institutions, global law firms, the 'Big Four' accounting firms, as well as for Insurers who underwrite regional, local and smaller institutions and firms.

Cases

  • Professional indemnity claims across all lines of business including against solicitors, financial professionals, insurance brokers, construction professionals and IT consultants as well as handling insurance coverage advice /policy disputes.

Required experience 

  • 1-3 years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience*
  • Experience of assisting on large cases in a team environment and ideally some experience of running own professional indemnity files.
  • Familiar with professional indemnity policies and coverage issues.
  • Previous experience of client contact and attendance at business development events preferred, and/or willingness to engage actively in client development.
