Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights is seeking an experienced, motivated and professional Deputy Room Supervisor to join the team.

You will support the Room Supervisor in leading one of our five base rooms, offering support, mentorship and guidance to colleagues and overseeing the effective organisation of the room.

As Deputy Room Supervisor you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by offering them the very best care and education using our unique curriculum “Where Children Shine” you will also support your room based colleagues, overseeing the day to day running of your allocated nursery room.

Your roles and responsibilities as Deputy Room Supervisor would include –

Performance

  • Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work.
  • Being positive, confident and honest.
  • Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude.
  • Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices.
  • Holding a recognised level 3 qualification in childcare.
  • Supporting, mentoring and coaching colleagues, through induction, supervision and appraisal.

Outstanding Childcare

  • Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times.
  • Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities.
  • Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices.
  • Leading the quality delivery in your allocated room.

  • Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues.
  • Continually striving to work together to deliver thee very best care and education for the children.
  • Supporting colleagues with empathy and care.
  • Acting as mentor to apprentices and other colleagues.
