As the Security Vetting Officer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in and your skillset may include:

• Provide personnel security support and advice to meet the needs of the UK business in line with all relevant policies, procedures, requirements, and standards
• Manage the pre-employment screening process
• Responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of National Security Vetting processes, including new applications, transfers, shares, aftercare, and international equivalencies
• Carry out the technical programming of site access passes across the business
• Oversee the management of the visitor management system and ensure that site access is controlled in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Support the Protective Security Lead with security accreditations and audits (internal and external) and personnel security-specific accreditations such as IPSA
• Advise and support business unit stakeholders on personnel security matters including international travel, pre-employment screening, clearances, and access control to ensure compliance with all relevant standards
• Escalate security risks and issues to the Protective Security Lead and support with incident investigation, response, and reporting
• Responsibility for international travel security requirements including staff security briefings, processing requests for visits
• Support with the delivery of security inductions.
