Paralegal

Are you a paralegal, legal executive, or aspiring junior lawyer looking to develop your career in an exciting and engaging international scale-up tech company? If so, this role could be for you.

In this role, you will work closely with and report to our Senior Legal Counsel (UK-based) and collaborate with other members of the wider Legal, Risk, and Compliance Team (based in the US and UK) to support and assist on a wide variety of commercial negotiations and strategic projects for Immersive Labs across its current operations in EMEA, Americas, and Middle East regions and expanding global reach.

You will focus on supporting and assisting the team in conducting commercial activities and projects across the Immersive Labs legal function (in particular, managing our database of customer and supplier contracts, required approvals, and due diligence checks). You will also work closely with other teams to support projects as necessary (particularly sales, procurement, and the wider operations team).

This role will be based from our office in Bristol (UK) and we ask that you’re in the office at least 2 days a week.

Your main responsibilities (we're scaling fast, so these may change as we grow):

  • Assisting the Legal Team in their day-to-day operations.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate contract information and records in accordance with our processes and procedures.
  • Managing approvals for closed-won sales opportunities in Salesforce.
  • Conducting KYC checks on customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Supporting and assisting the contract process by reviewing and amending confidentiality agreements, and, where appropriate, customer contracts, reseller agreements, supplier contracts, data processing agreements, and other commercial and technology agreements with supervision from the wider legal team.
  • Contributing to information sharing, knowledge management, and collaboration tools.

You should apply if you have:

  • A Law Degree or Graduate Diploma in Law.
  • Minimum of 1-year prior legal experience within a commercial legal team, in-house or in private practice.
  • Skills in managing contract processes and ancillary documents, policies, and customer/client communications in line with internal business needs
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle and prioritise commercial deadlines through effective time management and taking ownership of projects and tasks.
  • Honest, open, and transparent communication style; know your own strengths and limitations and seek support when required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the listed requirements to be considered for this role.

It will be a bonus if you also have:

  • Saas experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • A working knowledge of Salesforce and KYC contract management systems.

Please apply if you’re working in a law firm and are looking to make your first move in-house. We welcome those with less experience working in-house but have a keen interest in tech and are excited to start their legal career in a fast-paced scale-up.
