We now have exciting permanent opportunities for motivated and suitably qualified I&C Commissioning Engineer to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England. Join us and be part of making a valuable contribution to the mega-infrastructure, Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).


Role Overview:

As an I&C Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in the commissioning activities of a high-profile nuclear project. Your expertise in TXS systems and knowledge of I&C systems will ensure the seamless integration and operation of cutting-edge nuclear technology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and test various TXS systems including Protection System (PS), Reactor Control, Surveillance and Limitation System (RCSL), and Severe Accident I&C System (SA I&C).
  • Utilize your understanding of TXS technology hardware and software products to support system functionality and reliability.
  • Integrate and interface Conventional HMI (SICS) systems with various I&C systems, ensuring seamless communication and operation.
  • Provide an overview and ensure the reliability of hardware backup systems, such as HBS and Unicorn.
  • Apply basic knowledge of different lines of defence in I&C systems within the nuclear industry to maintain high safety and operational standards.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of TXS systems, including PS, RCSL, and SA I&C.
  • Basic understanding of the hardware and software products associated with TXS technology.
  • Experience with Conventional HMI (SICS) systems and their interfaces with different I&C systems.
  • Familiarity with hardware backup systems like HBS and Unicorn.
  • Basic knowledge of various lines of defence in I&C systems in the nuclear industry.
