Solutions Architect

Senior Solution Architect/ Solutions Consultant - Cheltenham - 3 days remote a week - £90k package

I am currently working with a brilliant consultancy, they have had sustain exceptional growth for a number of years now due to their deep expertise in their field of National Security, and Government, they are involved in some of the most challenging yet rewarding large scale technical projects in the country.

They are currently looking for a Solutions Architect, this will be a blend of client facing skills aka, the ability to understand business problems, create a novel model/ solution to help that client, combined with strong technical engineering skills, modern deployment models and experience delivering these projects within Defence, Public Sector, Law Enforcement or National Security. This role will focus on you being the main POC for major clients and the wider technical team across various projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain third party/ vendor relationships
• Ensure technical feasibility of projects, creating the scope and objectives of each project for wider team and stakeholders
• Design entire lifecycle for complex projects and programmes
• Organise and coordinate internal resources and vendors for efficient delivery of projects, delivery assurance and integration, within budget, to expectations and with managed risk
• Deliver and manage high quality Solution Architecture documentation

Key Skills

• Good understanding of engineering tools, standard practices, techniques, and methodologies for delivering complex systems and solutions, including modern deployment models (e.g. agile development, CI/CD, etc)
• Experience of working as a client facing consultant in a systems integrator or public sector organisation directly or through a consultancy delivering complex products and services
• Experience of working as software engineer within IT, infrastructure, networking, or systems
• Happy in a client facing capacity and able to relay complex solutions simply to the client’s
• Experience managing client relationships, projects, and technical teams essential
• Need to be SC clearable (5 years in the UK without leaving for longer than 3 months) and willing to do so for this position, current or previous SC clearance preferred
