A bit about the job:

As the External Communications Manager in the IWR Customer Communications team, you will play a critical role in overseeing post-sales communications to our customers. Your leadership will ensure these communications are not only compliant with consumer duty principles but also drive optimal outcomes for our customers. You will lead a diverse team of six communication executives, managing high-demand initiatives while fostering a supportive and engaging team culture. Your commitment to enhancing risk management capabilities will be key in ensuring that all communication risks are identified and mitigated effectively, ultimately benefiting both Aviva and our customers.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in external communications management, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management practices and principles.
  • Exceptional people management skills, with a focus on developing high-performing teams through a nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building positive relationships across various stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing external suppliers/partners, particularly IT and technical teams, is preferable.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Salary – Circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
