Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Back End Software Engineer with expertise in cloud software development to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the development of our data and reporting microservices within AWS, extending our build and release pipelines, and designing and developing new products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Development: Design, build, and deploy robust and scalable web application back-ends, microservices, and pipelines.
  • Coding: Develop and maintain high-quality code, primarily using C#.
  • Performance Optimisation: Identify bottlenecks and bugs and create solutions to address these issues.
  • Code Quality: Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on modern development technologies and practices.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong expertise in cloud software development, particularly within AWS.
  • Proficiency in C# and experience in developing scalable back-end systems.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining database structures, ensuring data integrity.
  • Knowledge of API development and best practices for secure communication between systems.
  • Familiarity with security measures and best practices to protect user data.
  • Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Ability to conduct thorough code reviews to enhance code quality.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and experience in automating development and release processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
