Senior Software Engineer - SLAM / Perception

This role focuses on developing exciting new capabilities to improve and reduce the cost of offshore windfarm inspection, including enhancing our SubSLAM X2 Camera system and autonomous systems.

Within your cross functional teams, you will contribute towards the entire software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing and maintenance of our products. Working primarily in C++ and Python, you will employ high quality software engineering principles and practices. You will be actively engaged in building quality solutions within an Agile process, including peer reviews, continuous improvement and integration.

You will collaborate with our in-house Research and Robotics teams to mature cutting edge research into well-tested, production ready code. This role will also give you the opportunity to participate in field trials to test and evaluate new functionality in the real world.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our cross-functional teams, contributing to the entire software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

• Innovative Development: Enhance the SubSLAM X2 Camera system and our autonomous systems, delivering world-class subsea visual inspection capabilities.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior team members, guiding them through complex technical challenges and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Hands-On Engineering: Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality software using C++ and Python, adhering to rigorous engineering principles.
• Real-World Impact: Participate in field trials, testing and evaluating new functionalities to ensure they meet real-world demands.
