SEND Respite Care Worker
The job is for weekends and school holidays. £12.50 per hour plus holiday pay (Increasing to £13 in April)
- Must have a vehicle with business insurance
- Must have experience working with people with SEND
- Must have a DBS check
- Must be able to speak clear unbroken English
- Must be in the UK already
- Must be hard working, calm under pressure, use trauma informed techniques, adaptable, empathetic and patient
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with individuals with SEND and their families.
- Provide personalized care, ensuring safety, dignity, and respect.
- Engage individuals in stimulating activities, both indoor and outdoor, tailored to their interests and abilities.
- Support personal care routines (feeding, dressing, medication administration as needed).
- Maintain clear communication with caregivers, ensuring continuity of care and understanding of individual preferences.
- Encourage social interaction and inclusion, promoting a sense of belonging
