Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to road safety regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively while driving a flatbed vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods across designated routes.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling and securing of items on the flatbed.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of delivery driver responsibilities and road safety regulations.
• Ability to drive a flatbed lorry efficiently while managing time constraints.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle is essential.
