Hours: Part-Time (21hrs per week), Permanent

The Disabled Children Service provides a range of social care assessments and support services, to children and their families.

The Occupational Therapy team is a city wide service that works alongside all other children’s services. As the Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day to day management and leadership of the team, coordinating available resources, contributing to strategic objectives and outcomes, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of support to children, their carers and families.

You will provide leadership to Occupational Therapy practitioners, acting as a positive role model at all times, fostering self-awareness and professional development; whilst ensuring that directorate objectives are understood, and that members of the team work together to achieve these objectives. You will also provide ongoing support, to staff members to enable them to deal effectively with complex service user and provider requirements, finding positive solutions in difficult and changing situations. 

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
