Job Requirements/Description

We are looking for a Site Carpenter to carry out playground installations. You will be on site with a team of 2 or 3 minimum installing playgrounds in schools, commercial construction sites and public spaces.

We are a growing company that is passionate about creating custom play structures that promote a love of outdoor play and physical activity in children. We are looking for someone who shares our vision and who wants to be part of a team that is committed to producing high-quality, environmentally sustainable structures.

The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in carpentry, have familiarity with hand and power tools, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about working with wood. In addition some knowledge of basic groundworks would help with your submission. Site Supervisor training will be available for the right candidate. 

The job does require frequent working away. You will be provided with accommodation and subsistence.

We will look to further your health and safety training as you work with us in order to increase your on site knowledge.

You will need to be DBS checked as part of this role (since this is a requirement for working within school sites). This will be organised in house if you are the successful applicant.

The role and skills required.

  • Assemble and install of playground equipment with precision
  • Use of onsite hand tools
  • Manual lifting – Unloading and loading of goods
  • Driving to and from sites using company vehicles
  • Onsite labour, carpentry and groundworks
  • Ability to read technical drawings and instructions
  • Be able to work as part of a small team and as an individual
  • Work efficiently and accurately whilst maintaining a constant fast pace
  • Ability to learn and further develop their skills, both in personal skill set development and practical skills
  • Requires a safe and practical working ethic, both on-site and at base
  • Working inside and outside in all weather
  • Physically demanding
  • Nights working away
  • Excellent communication skills with good articulation and customer service
  • Self-motivated and motivates others
  • Shares the company values and shares its ambition to grow and aspire
  • Clean driving license
  • Be over 25 for vehicle insurance purposes

Driving License is essential for this role due to travel and commute to company premises and site locations
