Are you an experienced surgical practitioner looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have a passion for gastrointestinal (GI) surgery and want to make a key difference in patient care? We are seeking a Band 7 Enhanced Practitioner to join our dynamic GI surgical department on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expertise in surgical care to play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity and excellence of our services.
Registered professional working at an enhanced level are expected to be able to manage discrete activities in complex, challenging and changing situations and environments. They should also be confident to seek further guidance when they reach the boundaries of their competence. Utilise the four pillars of practice (Clinical Practice, Education, Research and Leadership) to support the delivery of the Trust objectives through behaviours which demonstrate the Trust Values. To note, this level is largely clinically focused and is NOT underpinned by an MSc in Advanced Practice, though candidates with an MSc in Advanced Practice are still able to work at this level.
This role will involve autonomous, independent clinical practice, as well as leadership of the enhanced practitioners working in the department.
