We are looking for someone who is excited by data, analysis tools and finding the insights that make players and teams improve. Your role will include filming and coding training sessions and matches, developing and managing our database, and contributing to the development and growth of players from our academy into the first team.
Please note this job requires working hours that fit around the fixtures and training hours of the team. This will include travel and work that takes place on weekends.
Main Responsibilities
- Buy into BCWFC’s new strategy and working culture
- Work closely with your line manager and our Head Coach to ensure expectations and outputs are defined and met at the highest quality
- Film and code all sessions
- Live code matches, including half time presentation and liaising closely with technical staff
- Create opposition reports and post-game reports
- Manage all hardware and equipment necessary for the effective delivery of the job
- Assist in the development of game plans and individual development plans
- Develop and manage training and player databases
- Contribute to analysis and reporting projects that ensure our player pathway is effective
- Contribute to the player recruitment programme
- Create and present frequent data reviews for the technical team
- Liaise with all technical staff to ensure they have everything they need to work effectively, and carry out any ad hoc tasks that may be required to ensure overall success of the Women’s Football Programme
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by your Line Manager, Head Coach and Head of Women’s Football
Qualifications / Requirements
- Degree in Performance Analysis, Sport Science or Data
- Knowledge and experience in performance analysis software and of working with statistical data (including Hudl software products)
- Deep understanding of football tactics and coaching
- Ability to produce high level, professional reports
- Strong IT and data management skills and proficient experience in data analysis software (eg Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience of working within a women’s football environment is desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful and professional working relationships
- Holds an up-to-date FA Safeguarding Children Certificate (to be completed within 3 months if not currently held)
- Ability to work with flexibility, open to travel and working as required within a football programme – i.e. evenings and weekends
