We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our SIA team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the safety and security of spectators during a variety of events, including football and rugby matches, concerts, and other gatherings.
Our casual contract offers flexibility, whether you prefer regular shifts or occasional work, with a minimum commitment to at least one sport.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a friendly and welcoming service to our guests.
- Verify access and assist guests with entry while ensuring adherence to stadium policies.
- Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures and stadium protocols.
- Ensure entrances, exits, and stairways are clear to facilitate safe movement.
- Monitor and manage crowd flow to prevent congestion and maintain safety standards.
- Alert supervisors to safety concerns, including venue capacity issues, intoxication, site breaches, and medical incidents.
- Assist in evacuating the stadium during emergencies.
- Hold a valid SIA licence.
- Possess proficient English language skills (reading and writing).
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in crowded environments.
- Follow instructions accurately from supervisors and managers.
- Exhibit strong listening skills and the ability to act upon simple instructions.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues when necessary.
- Maintain a positive attitude and deliver exceptional service to guests.
- Enjoy supporting others and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an SIA role.
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, including handling challenging situations such as crowd management and medical emergencies.
- Physical fitness and stamina to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Positive and enthusiastic demeanour with a proactive approach to guest interactions.
