Security Officer

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Security Officer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for a Security Officer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Security Officer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Security Officer, will be responsible for:

• Maintaining site security and integrity; patrolling; monitoring CCTV and managing
• Control access to the site/building permitting only authorised personnel.
• Using the Access Control System and CCTV, monitor/manage activity on site and in the immediate vicinity.
• Perform internal and external patrols of the site and building.
• Perform daily checks of alarm systems and system health.
• Monitor and respond to on-site alarm systems.
• Escalate issues as necessary to MDL Service Desk.
• Provide cover for other members of the security team as required.
• Perform random entry and exit searches.
• Deter and detect unauthorised entry to site.
• Detect and deter any damage/vandalism and report as necessary.
• Where necessary, deal with suspect packages in accordance with agreed procedures.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks/responsibilities as directed/required by line management.
• Be flexible and adaptive to providing cover/support for absent colleagues

To be successful for this Security Officer role you must have:

• Successful candidates will need to undergo extended security (DV) clearance prior to employment.
• Previous experience in the security field is useful but not essential.
• SIA Licence holder and CCTV trained.
• Good Communication skills, IT Literate, Customer focused approach.
