Job Requirements/Description

The opportunity:

Seeker software is a complex real-time sub-component of a Missile, responsible for consuming data from a variety of advanced sensors and interfacing to other sub-equipment on-board a missile.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (hardware/software/firmware) with state of the art technology you will be at the forefront of missile system design. The role involves the full life cycle development, in Agile/SCRUM working environment where quality and accuracy of work is essential. There are also opportunities to work in a lab environment, using Missile components and Test Equipment.

This is a technical hands-on role and will involve all aspects of the software life cycle:

  • Requirements capture
  • Embedded Software Architecture and Design
  • Implementation
  • Verification (Reviews and Testing)

What we're looking for from you:

Do you have industry experience in the following areas (these are key to being successful in the role):

  • Proven Hard Real-Time embedded software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in ‘C' Programming
  • Familiarity with communication Protocols (e.g. SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCI-Express)
  • Experience working with Software Design methodologies (e.g. UML)
  • Ability to analyse system performance and integration
  • Full life cycle development experience

In addition to technical skills, we are seeking individuals who are proactive and collaborative. As part of our larger multi-disciplinary team, you will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities at both system and software component levels. Your positive attitude, adaptability, clear communication skills, and commitment to maintaining quality will contribute to your success in this role.

Salary: up to circa £65,000 depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 4 to 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
