We currently have a great opportunity for a Water Resources Reporting Coordinator to join our Water Resources team on a permanent basis in Exeter or Bristol. You will receive a competitive salary of circa £32,500 to £35,500 pa plus an excellent benefits package.

The role

As Water Resources Reporting Coordinator, you will develop and maintain master schedules for strategic outputs (e.g. Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP), Water Company Drought Management Plan (WCDP), WR related elements of the Business Plan) based on input from various stakeholders, including project managers, team leads, and department heads.

You will schedule, and proactively manage the timeline of securing, planned contractor and consultancy support across the function. In addition, you will be required to coordinate responses to ad-hoc information / data requests and regulatory queries. 

You will also assist in the preparation of reports and presentations ensuring accuracy and clarity of information for stakeholders and track key reporting performance indicators and supporting regulatory compliance efforts. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Build, maintain, and coordinate a comprehensive regulatory reporting and compliance plan for the WRF, covering all submissions and strategic tasks.
  • Develop and maintain master schedules for projects and resources, using input from stakeholders, project managers, and department heads.
  • Use scheduling tools to create detailed task schedules, track timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations.
  • Implement scheduling frameworks and manage timely submission of regulatory outputs, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Monitor progress against schedules, track performance, and issue updates to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Modelling Data and Systems (MDS) team for data collection, analysis, and report generation for water resource management.
  • Prepare internal and external reports on water resource activities, ensuring data accuracy and consistency in reporting standards.
  • Support audits, consultations, and ad hoc data requests, coordinating timely responses and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in project management and scheduling, including creating and maintaining project plans using software like P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
  • Expertise in report creation and management, with skills in data entry, validation, and organisation.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis and report generation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting schedules to meet shifting priorities or resource constraints.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, integrating resource planning with scheduling and execution processes.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques to anticipate future resource needs.
  • Detail-oriented and organised, ensuring accuracy and high-quality output in a timely manner.
