We are looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced Team Leader for the Council Tax team within the Revenues & Benefits service. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team working in a high volume, performance led and fast paced environment.

About the role

You will:

  • Lead and manage a small team of direct reports, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with policies as directed by the Revenues Manager.
  • Oversee billing, collection and enforcement processes addressing any issues promptly.
  • Provide support, guidance and training to team members fostering a collaborative and collegiate environment.
  • Monitoring of performance metrics and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Resolve the most complex issues and complaints, providing supervision and advice to staff in the resolution of serious cases by applying relevant legislation and technical knowledge.

About You

You should have excellent people management and communication skills gained through proven experience in a similar role. Knowledge of council tax legislation and processes would be advantageous as would strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
