This position is crucial to managing the technical operations of our food waste processing activities, ensuring compliance with permit requirements and PAS110 standards, and maintaining the highest health and safety standards.

Please note this role follows a shift pattern of 6am to 3pm and 2.30pm to 11.30pm.

What you'll do

  • Manage and oversee the daily technical operations of food waste processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain PAS110 compliance standards to ensure the quality and safety of end products.
  • Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal teams to ensure operational compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience in waste management, particularly in food waste processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of permit requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with PAS110 standards.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in environmental science, waste management or a related field (desirable but not required).
