System Engineer

MBSE System Engineer- Bristol HQ - 3 days onsite/2 days remote – up to £52k DOE

Please note: You must be eligible for SC initially and then in some positions within the team be eligible for DV clearance at a later date due to the sensitive nature of the project.

A global Defence client based in Bristol with HQ’s around the U.K are looking to bring onboard either a Security cleared or willing to be security cleared Systems Engineer (Design/MBSE) to be based in Bristol on a hybrid remote basis to work with the wider team of System Architects/Designers to create models and simulations used in £££ pound projects for the Aviation division.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with MBSE and will need to come from a safety critical background (Aerospace, Automotive, Nuclear and Rail for example) but any similar safety critical industries will be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing model representations of systems and platforms, this consists of requirement, functional, plant and control models that represent those systems within a digital twin of the platform
• Collaborating with the wider Engineering team to understand the relationships between interfacing systems/platforms
• Developing strategies to use modelling to optimise verification, validation, demonstrations and trial activity
• Undertake model verification activity using real world data (in service and trials)
• Identify solutions and options that deliver at platform level

Your skills and experiences:

• Systems Engineering background (Electrical, Mechanical, Communications or software ect)
• 2-3 years’ experience working with MBSE tools (SysML/Cameo/Sparx/Magicdraw ect)
• Any experience with TOGAF, NAF or MODAF would be advantageous.
• STEM degree educated alternatively if HND/HNC, you have 5+ years commercial experience.
