As a Casual Registered Nurse, you will be working with the people we support in our Learning Disability services with a focus on ensuring that people’s health needs are met on a day to day basis and in line with their person centred plans.

As a member of our Casual Nurse team you will be using your clinical expertise and working as part of a team to ensure that people’s immediate and long term health needs are met.

This may include assessing people’s physical health, recognising when people are deteriorating and giving the appropriate support. You will be required to support with clinical interventions and administration of medication.

Depending on the location that you are working you may be required to travel between services that are geographically close to each other or offer support, guidance and expertise over the phone. At other locations you will be based at one service for the duration of your shift.

We are looking for Nurses to work both in our Short Breaks (respite) Services, based in Kingswood, and also in our three Nursing services based in Kingswood and Winterbourne. All services offer person centred support to people with learning disabilities and complex health needs in homely environments.

We offer induction shifts in a named service, with full medication competency, paid training sessions and an extremely competitive hourly rate – including extra pay for sleep-ins. All our services are rated Good or Outstanding by CQC, so you can be confident you will be working alongside some of the best teams in the West!

To apply you will:

• Registered Nurse with excellent clinical and organisational skills and a current PIN (we welcome applications form Nurses with RNLD, RMN, RGN qualifications)
• Have at least 1 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar setting
• Have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, the people we support and a range of stakeholders
• Be kind and caring, have a proactive attitude and willingness to be flexible and adaptable
• Be willing to learn and committed to delivering a high-quality service to the people we support 
• Experience of implementing person centred approaches
• We are particularly interested in applicant with Adult Nursing experience in acute settings or nursing homes
