Dispensing Optician

WLP Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced Dispensing Optician for an exciting opportunity in Bristol. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about eye care, enjoys working with customers, and has a strong sense of professionalism. You'll be joining a dynamic team in a busy, well-established optical practice, helping patients achieve the best vision with quality eyewear.

Key Responsibilities

• Eyewear Dispensing: Assist customers in choosing the right frames and lenses, taking into account their prescriptions, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring patient satisfaction.
• Technical Expertise: Use your expertise to accurately fit, adjust, and repair eyewear. Advise customers on lens types, coatings, and lens enhancements.
• Prescriptions & Measurements: Interpret optical prescriptions and take accurate measurements for the fitting of spectacles and contact lenses.
• Sales Support: Support the optical team by managing stock levels, helping with sales of glasses and contact lenses, and handling administrative tasks where necessary.
• Compliance & Health Care: Ensure all practice procedures comply with legal, professional, and ethical standards, including GOC regulations.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified and GOC registered Dispensing Optician
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Commercially aware with a customer-focused approach
• Good understanding of different types of lenses and frames
• Ability to perform adjustments and repairs to spectacles
