Job Requirements/Description

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Coordinator focused on Soft Services to join our Estates team on a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract. In this key role, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of essential services that support the smooth operation of our buildings and premises. Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will manage contractors, oversee desk allocation, and have daily responsibility for cleaning, security and waste.

As the Soft Services Facility Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations, from supporting audits and compliance processes to ensuring that facilities meet the needs of staff, visitors, and other stakeholders. You will also take ownership of areas such as meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and office zones, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard through inspections and contractor performance reviews.

This position offers the chance to support key operational functions such as security processes and systems, cleaning, waste processes and contractor management as well as being responsible for our travel to work survey and North SUScom events. If you are organised, proactive, and passionate about creating efficient and productive working environments, this role could be a great fit for you.

So, what are we looking for?

  • Experience in managing soft services with a strong background in business administration management.
  • Proven experience working in dynamic environments, meeting the diverse needs of both staff and visitors.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with an eye for identifying process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Able to work onsite at our Emersons Green site with regular cover of our Filton site.
  • This role is offered as a 12-month onsite fixed-term contract (FTC).

What do we offer in return?

  • Annual salary reviews, company paid private medical insurance, up to 12.5% employer pension contribution, great people, honorary staff status at the University of Bristol. With a genuine focus on wellbeing, EDI and learning and development this is a chance to build your career in a thriving R&D facility with a bright future.
