Join us and you’ll receive a generous rewards package including flexible working and flexitime, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and a generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.

A Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England is required for this post

This is a great opportunity to join Bristol’s expanding Post 16 Service, which supports children preparing to leave care and our care leavers. We are looking for an experienced leader who shares our passion for working with care experienced young adults, to lead one of our generic statutory care leaver teams.

We seek to be ambitious corporate parents for our young people and the team manager role is exciting, busy, and demanding. You will need to be organised, flexible and solution focussed to lead and inspire others.

We are seeking a manager who is enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious who can work systemically to lead and develop others and the service for young people. The role includes oversight and line management of approximately ten members of staff (personal advisers, engagement workers and administrative staff) and 130 care experienced young people.

This role sits within the wider Post 16 Service supporting children in care and care leavers aged 16-25. There are seven teams, two dedicated to asylum seeking young people, one child in care transitions team, a post 21 team and three generic care leaver teams. We are based at B Bond in an open plan office overlooking the river and Ashton Court. We have high aspirations for our children and young people and are committed to providing services to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
