British Red Cross

The British Red Cross is a volunteer-led movement that connects those who have kindness to share, with the people who need it most. We help people in crisis get the support they need anywhere in the UK and around the world.

The fundamental principles were created in Vienna in 1965. They bind together the National Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies. This makes the British Red Cross part of a worldwide movement.

The people we help can trust that we’re completely neutral, independent and impartial.
